Discounts galore as manufacturers offer pre excise hike prices for a limited period

The New Year is on us and it looks like manufacturers are bringing home the discounts by the dozen to entice new car buyers. They are offering models at pre excise duty hike rates for a limited period/till stock lasts in a bid to gain volumes.  Here are some of the deals that you can avail in your city.

North India
Audi
Audi is offering its cars at pre excise duty hike rates on a first come first buy basis till January 15. It appears that the vehicles in the deal are the A4 and A6 sedans which can be bought with a down payment of just Rs five lakh and Rs seven lakh respectively . 
This offer is available at the German automaker’s dealerships in Gurgaon (Golf Course Road) and Delhi Central (Baba Kharak Singh Marg). 
Land Rover
 Land Rover is offering special discounts and offers with the purchase of the Freelander 2. It has given a special price on select stock. This price includes a down payment of Rs 5.75 lakh and also the option to trade in your existing vehicles for a further reduction in price. The exchange deal will get you benefits worth Rs 1.25 lakh while the special offer comprises a complimentary three- year service plan and attractive payment schemes from Land Rover Finance.
This offer is available at AMP Motors on Mathura Road, Janpath and in Gurgaon. Customers can also avail the offer at its dealerships in Karnal and Jaipur. 
 Maharashtra
Chevrolet
Chevrolet is offering special discounts on its entire model range in the range of Rs 73,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh depending on the model. The benefits are as follows:

It is also offering trade-in benefits of up to Rs one lakh. The offer of pre-hiked prices is valid till January 15. These offers can be availed from the BU Bhandari Dealerships in Baner or Bund Garden Road.

Mercedes-Benz is offering its GLA-Class crossover with a few good schemes. It is charging only the cost of registering the car as a down payment with a 9.99 per cent interest rate on the financing scheme as well as complimentary insurance. It is also offering trade-in benefits of up to Rs one lakh. The offer of pre-hiked prices is valid till January 15. Volkswagen T-Cross

Volkswagen’s smallest SUV, the T-Cross, is likely to see a global unveil on October 25, 2018. While details of the European-spec T-Cross were already released, the company has now revealed more information about the slightly longer version that’s aimed initially at emerging markets like Brazil and China, with India likely to see local production a little later. The T-Cross for emerging markets sits on Volkswagen’s slightly tweaked MQB A0 platform and,  as reported by us earlier, it gets a longer wheelbase than its European cousin . The model is 4,199mm long, 1,568mm high and has a 2,651mm long wheelbase. In comparison, the Hyundai Creta is slightly longer, at 4,270mm and higher, at 1,780mm; but it has a slightly shorter wheelbase, at 2,590mm. 2018 Lamborghini Urus India review, test drive

             On first introduction, it’s a recipe for intimidation. It’s claimed to be the fastest SUV in the world (0-100kph in 3.6sec and a top speed of 305kph puts it nearly in supercar territory), and it’s made by Lamborghini – creator of some of the most savage vehicles on the market. Things – as with any Lamborghini, for that matter – would be a lot less daunting if we were driving on a smooth European country road, a wide motorway, or even a race track. But today we’re driving the Urus on a narrow  ghat  road, as well as through some heavy Pune traffic. Perhaps the intention was to demonstrate that this is the first Lamborghini ever to go on sale in India that truly works in our conditions – but still, I doubt they accounted for rush hour.
