Discounts galore as manufacturers offer pre excise hike prices for a limited period

The New Year is on us and it looks like manufacturers are bringing home the discounts by the dozen to entice new car buyers. They are offering models at pre excise duty hike rates for a limited period/till stock lasts in a bid to gain volumes.  Here are some of the deals that you can avail in your city.

North India
Audi
Audi is offering its cars at pre excise duty hike rates on a first come first buy basis till January 15. It appears that the vehicles in the deal are the A4 and A6 sedans which can be bought with a down payment of just Rs five lakh and Rs seven lakh respectively . 
This offer is available at the German automaker’s dealerships in Gurgaon (Golf Course Road) and Delhi Central (Baba Kharak Singh Marg). 
Land Rover
 Land Rover is offering special discounts and offers with the purchase of the Freelander 2. It has given a special price on select stock. This price includes a down payment of Rs 5.75 lakh and also the option to trade in your existing vehicles for a further reduction in price. The exchange deal will get you benefits worth Rs 1.25 lakh while the special offer comprises a complimentary three- year service plan and attractive payment schemes from Land Rover Finance.
This offer is available at AMP Motors on Mathura Road, Janpath and in Gurgaon. Customers can also avail the offer at its dealerships in Karnal and Jaipur. 
 Maharashtra
Chevrolet
Chevrolet is offering special discounts on its entire model range in the range of Rs 73,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh depending on the model. The benefits are as follows: 
1. Chevrolet Sail hatchback-Rs 73,000
2. Chevrolet Spark-Rs 80,500
3. Chevrolet Sail Sedan –Rs 84,000
4. Chevrolet Beat-Rs 92,000

Mercedes-Benz is offering its A-Class hatchback with a few attractive offers. It is charging only the cost of registering the car as a down payment with a 9.99 per cent interest rate on the financing scheme as well as complimentary insurance. It is also offering trade-in benefits of up to Rs one lakh. The offer of pre-hiked prices is valid till January 15. These offers can be availed from the BU Bhandari Dealerships in Baner or Bund Garden Road.        
Gujarat

Mercedes-Benz is offering its GLA-Class crossover with a few good schemes. It is charging only the cost of registering the car as a down payment with a 9.99 per cent interest rate on the financing scheme as well as complimentary insurance. It is also offering trade-in benefits of up to Rs one lakh. The offer of pre-hiked prices is valid till January 15. These offers can be availed from the Benchmark Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Ahmedabad,  Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.

It’s claimed to be the fastest SUV in the world (0-100kph in 3.6sec and a top speed of 305kph puts it nearly in supercar territory), and it’s made by Lamborghini – creator of some of the most savage vehicles on the market. Land Rover Discovery Sport review

Two things. To start with, it’s Land Rover’s replacement for the popular and capable Freelander. It’s also the first of the models from Land Rover’s new Discovery sub-brand, one that will focus on utility in the same vein as the Range Rover line is about luxury. The Discovery Sport was shown as a concept last year and the production version’s styling doesn’t stray too far from the prototype. It’s smart, well proportioned and interesting but doesn’t have the show value of something like an Evoque. Still, there’s a certain honesty to the chunky shape which, if you think about it, more than links the Sport to the Freelander. The Sport is 91mm longer than its predecessor and also sits on a wheelbase that’s grown by 80mm. These increments, and the incorporation of a compact multi-link rear suspension, have allowed Land Rover to fit in a third row of seats, giving the Sport a big advantage over its five-seat competitors – the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.
