With carmakers across the board hiking prices after the withdrawal of the excise duty exemption, sales are expected to slow down considerably. In anticipation of this slump, dealers across the country are offering mouthwatering discounts and other benefits on various models. Take a look at some of the best options available right now.

Hatchbacks
Chevrolet Beat and Spark
You can avail a cash discount of up to Rs 43,000 on any of the diesel or petrol versions of the Chevy Beat that are in stock. Along with this, an exchange bonus of up to Rs 25,000 is on offer in case you plan to trade in your existing car at the showroom. If you already own a Chevrolet car then you will also be eligible to earn an additional loyalty bonus of Rs 20,000. Save another Rs 3,000 if you work for a listed corporate company.
The Chevrolet Spark can be bought from showrooms with a cash discount of up to Rs 37,000. There’s also an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000, a corporate discount of Rs 3,000 and a loyalty bonus of Rs 20,000 on offer.

Ford Figo
Dealers are offering an exchange bonus of up to Rs 20,000 on the Ford Figo along with a cash discount in the range of Rs 20,000, depending on the variant, and a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 if you already own a Ford car.

VW Cross Polo
There’s a decent deal on offer for the VW Cross Polo. You can get the insurance for the first year free of cost, that will save you up to Rs 30,000 and in turn, align the price with the Polo Highline. Additionally, there’s also an exchange bonus of up to Rs 20,000 on offer.

Nissan Micra
The Nissan Micra is a hatchback that’s easy to drive, has a spacious cabin and incorporates fresh looks too. If you need a compact, hassle-free city runabout, the Micra is definitely worth a look. At the moment, you can get a flat cash discount of up to Rs 45,000 on available stock regardless of the variant.

Sedans
Audi A4 and A8
The mid-life facelift introduced a while ago brought a whole host of subtle improvements to the Audi A4. The engines and attractive pricing makes it a good option in this segment. You can opt for this sedan and save a decent amount adding up to Rs 5 lakh approximately.

The Audi A8 is powered by strong engines and laden with all the space and quality that you’d expect of Audi’s range-topper. On the flip-side, it does look a bit generic. Currently, get a flat savings benefit ranging from Rs 5-7 lakh on cars that are in stock.

BMW 3-series and 5-series
The updated BMW 3-series is spacious, looks sharper than the older model and is still the best car in its class to drive. Avail savings of up to Rs 5 lakh on this car.
The 5-series’ appeal lies in its range of engines. In all other aspects, the 5 is a competent car – it rides well, is spacious and the rear seats are comfy if not very airy. You can save up to Rs 5 lakh on any of the versions the dealer has in stock.

Mercedes E-class
The current E-class is refined, effortless to drive and has solid build. It’s a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern technology. There’s a flat cash discount of up to Rs 4 lakh on this luxury sedan’s price.

Jaguar XF
Jaguar hardly rolls out any offers on its cars but there is one available on the Jaguar XF sedan. You can get a loyalty bonus of Rs 75,000 if you already own a Jaguar. Add to this an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 if you trade in select used cars at the dealership.

SUVs
Audi Q3 and Q5
The Audi Q3 can be purchased with up to Rs 2 lakh shaved off the price tag while the larger Q5 sibling is on offer with a flat cash benefit of Rs 4 lakh.

BMW X1 and X3
If your dealership has stock of the BMW X1, you can get up to Rs 5 lakh off the cost. The X3 is also available with a Rs 3-lakh discount.

Skoda Vision RS concept previews new hatchback

Skoda has set the stage for its forthcoming Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus rival with the Vision RS, a concept car that features a performance plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. Under the sporty details and concept flourishes, the Vision RS bears a close resemblance to the Rapid hatchback that will be introduced next year.
