Porsche is set to launch the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman on February 15, 2017. The new 718s are essentially thoroughly updated versions of the outgoing Boxster and Cayman. The biggest change on the new 728 siblings is the use of turbocharged flat-four engines in place of the previously available naturally aspirated flat-six engines.
The international 718 line-up includes 300hp, 2.0-litre and 350hp, 2.5-litre engine options (the latter powers the ‘S’ variants), but India will only get the smaller of the two powerplants paired to the automaker’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard
