Lexus is set to begin its first innings in India and plans to start it with three models. Sitting atop the range will be the Land Cruiser-based Lexus LX seven-seater SUV.
It will be available with the choice of petrol and diesel engines, with the petrol LX570 using a 383hp, 5.7-litre V8. The diesel LX450d will be offered with a twin-turbo 269hp, 4.5-litre V8. Initially, only the diesel SUV is expected to go on sale as a five-seater with a seven-seater petrol variant joining the line-up in October.
