The Geneva Motor Show 2015 will be held March 3-15. It will showcase new models from the likes of Ferrari, Honda, Ford, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin. Here’s a list of cars that are most likely going to be present at the show.
Audi
The Ingolstadt-based carmaker will have on display the RS3 and the R8. The RS3 is a performance hatchback on sale in global markets; it makes 362bhp from its 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine and can get to 100kph in 4.3 seconds. TheR8 sportscar will be present in its second-generation avatar. It shares mechanicals and some technology with the Lamborghini Huracan, and will be an all-wheel drive only. Audi will also display its Avant Concept which will be a preview for Audi’s future design direction.
Aston Martin
British sportscar manufacturer will be unveiling the Vantage GT3. It is the more extreme version of the V12 Vantage S and is likely to produce as much as 600bhp of power. The company will also unveil its track-only hypercar the 800bhp-plus Vulcan. The Vulcan is set to rival the likes of the Ferrari FXX K and Mclaren P1 GTR.
BMW
The BMW 1 Series facelift will be making an appearance at the Geneva motor show 2015. It gets tweaked front and rear styling, upgraded infotainment system and a new range of three-cylinder engines for international markets. The current four-cylinder engines will also be updated to deliver more power and improved efficiency. BMW will also be showing a larger version of the 2-series Active Tourer MPV that will be sold internationally. This one comes with seven seats instead of five.
Bentley
Bently are set to unveil its all new GT car that is set to rival the likes of Ferrari and Aston Martin. The car will be positioned alongside the Continental GT and is likely to be powered by an Audi sourced twin-turbo V8. The car makers will also showcase the facelift of the Continental GT.
Brabus
The famed Mercedes tuners are set to unveil the Coupe version of their 850 6.0 Biturbo at the Geneva Car Show. The 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe is based on the new generation Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe.
Bugatti
Bugatti will showcase their last production Veyron at the Geneva Car Show 2015. Named the Veyron‘La Finale’, the car marks the end of the production of the line that started in 2005.
Fiat
The Italian automakers will debut a new addition to the 500 line-up in the form of the 500 Vintage ’57. The car will sport a retro style theme on the exterior as well as the interior. The engine lineup will remain unchanged.
Ferrari
The Ferrari 488 GTB to be unveiled at Geneva, is the successor to the fabled 458 Italia. It gets a new twin-turbo V8 engine developing 660bhp. Ferrari has also announced its return to Indian markets.
Ford
The American carmaker’s hot hatchback for global markets, the Focus RS, is into its third-generation. This one has a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine that generates 316bhp; it also gets all-wheel drive.
Honda
Unlike the sedan model that used to be on sale in India, the Honda Civic in international markets is a hatchback. The Geneva motor show 2015 will see the debut of the Civic Type R – Honda's new hot hatch which is expected to produce around 300bhp from its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine.
Hyundai
The South Korean brand has quite a few models lined up for Geneva. First up is the new Tucson SUV. The new car is based on an entirely new platform and will sport four choices of engines and three choices of transmission including a double clutch automatic. The SUV will get a host of features inside along with a new navigation system. Also being displayed will be the facelifted i30 hatchback, i40 sedan and i20 coupé – the sleek three-door version of the i20 hatchback.
Infiniti
Nissan’s luxury wing, Infiniti, will showcase a thinly veiled concept called QX30. The cross-over concept is to take on the BMW X1 and Audi Q3. It is set to go on sale in international markets at the end of 2015.
Jaguar
The Brit carmaker will have on display the XJ facelift. It gets minor cosmetic changes and some new infotainment options.
Koenigsegg
The Swedish automakers will debut their Agera RS, a more focused version of the potent Agera R and its all new flagship ‘megacar’ the Regera. The Regera is likely to be more powerful than the Koenigsegg One:1 and likely to rival the Ferrari FXX K and Mclaren P1 GTR.
Lamborghini
Lamborghini has plans to introduce the Aventador SV, and will most likely unveil this more potent Super Veloce version of Lamborghini's supercar. It is expected to have more than 700bhp in its reserves.
Land Rover
The company are set to unveil its facelifted Range Rover Evoque. The new car will feature a new 2.0 litre turbo-diesel engine from the Jaguar XE apart from existing choices. Changes to the SUV will include exterior tweaks while the interior will receive the new ‘InControl Touch’ system from the Jaguar XE.
Lexus
The Japanese luxury car makers are set to debut its new concept car code named LF-SA. The car is to feature radical new styling and likely to rival the new Mini Hatch and Audi A1.
Lotus
The company is set to unveil a revised version of the Evora 400 at Geneva. The car is to get a bigger supercharger, new clutch for the manual version and modifications to the automatic gearbox along with paddle shifts. Power is expected to be around the 400bhp mark.
McLaren
The sportscar manufacturer will unveil the P1 GTR. This is the more hardcore version of McLaren's P1 hypercar, and will rival Ferrari's LaFerrari FXX K. McLaren will also introduce the 675LT. This new 'Long Tail' McLaren pays homage to the F1-based original.
Mercedes
Mercedes are set to debut its new G500 4X4 SUV at the Geneva Car Show. The G500 4X4 is going to be the 4X4 version of the G63 AMG 6X6.Mercedes are also set to debut its all new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Stretch Limousine. The Pullman will be a stretched version of the current S-class and will sport a 6.0 litre twin turbo engine. Mercedes have also lined up a limited edition SL called theSL 417 Mille Miglia. The car will be sold in the SL-400 and SL-500 guise and be powered by a 3.0 litre V6 and 4.6 litre twin-turbo V8. Only 500 Mille Miglia will be built.
Mitsubishi
The car makers are set to debut a new hybrid concept, the Concept XR-PHEV II. The car is expected to be an evolution of the XR-PHEV debuted in 2013 and could likely inspire a new performance crossover to sit below the Outlander PHEV.
Morgan
This family-owned British marque has announced that it will showcase a new two-door supercar at the Geneva Car Show. The car will sport traditional Morgan styling as is likely to be related to the Aeromax and Aero Supersport.
Nissan
Nissan will showcase its latest concept the Sway at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is likely to be the design precursor of future small cars to come from the company.
Porsche
Porsche has two confirmed models headed to Geneva – the 911 GT3 RS and the recently revealedCayman GT4. The 911 GT3 RS was scheduled for release last year, but instead, the ultimate 911 is finally being revealed at the Geneva show 2015. As the name suggests, the Cayman GT4 is a more powerful version of the Cayman. It gets 380bhp from its 3.8-litre flat six engine.
Renault
The French company will be unveiling of the Renault Kadjar crossover. The 1.5- and 1.6-litre diesel engines from the Nissan Qashqai are likely to do duty in the Kadjar. It is loaded with a lot of equipment and a lot of features too.
Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce will be bringing the Wraith convertible to the Geneva motor show 2015. This open-top Rolls gets styling inspired by the Ghost and a soft-top roof. The English carmakers will also debut the Phantom based ‘Serenity’ concept. The car is expected to set a new benchmark for luxury individualism and is to sport a silk interior.
Skoda
The new Superb will officially be debuted at the Geneva show. Skoda will also debut the Octavia vRS 230, the more powerful version of the current Octavia vRS and the Fabia Monte Carlo. The Fabia Monte Carlo will be the sportiest version of the Fabia, sporting a new body kit and sports suspension but will receive no additional power.
Suzuki
The Japanese automakers are all set to debut two new concepts at the show in the form of the iK-2 hatchback and iM-4 SUV. The iK-2 hatchback is expected to point towards the production version of the much anticipated Maruti YRA hatchback. This new hatchback is expected to sit above the Swift in India and compete with the i20.
Volkswagen
The German giants are set to debut an unnamed concept car. The concept car is likely to become the design precursor to the new Volkswagen Passat CC due in 2016.
