Hyundai is expected to showcase the all-new Hyundai Elantra at the Seoul motor show next month.
The new Elantra sports a more grown-up look with a large prominent family grille, large airdams with vertical LED daytime running lamps, and squared off wraparound headlamps with daytime running lights. The car will feature a four-cylinder diesel engine along with Hyundai’s new 1.6-litre T-GDI turbo petrol engine from the new Tucson. It generates about 174bhp.
The car is expected to be offered with two choices in transmission - a six-speed manual or a seven-speed double clutch automatic gearbox.The new Elantra is expected to be based on an all-new platform, and is expected to go on sale in Korea by mid-2015. Hyundai has also showcased a facelifted version of the current generation Elantra internationally.
